How many people has Lalo put on his work force? Obviously there must be Latinos, but how many Asians, blacks, and whites does he employ?

Now How can a company be diverse in its lack of diversity? Is this a play on words or what? Maybe Google’s workplaces are too far from city life where most diverse people tend to like to work. Also, one needs to look at a state’s population diversity…the more white or Asian the population, it stands to reason that there would naturally be more white or Asian employees… ;)

Try working for Yahoo — one in three employees is Asian or East Indian. But few Latinos outside of the commissary department. (Or so it seems.)

Google revealed this information as a way of holding itself accountable. It then said the status quo was unacceptable, and they were developing a plan to change things in a positive direction. Very few companies would blow the whistle on themselves. Let’s give them credit for that.

How many blue Asulians from the planet Asulia? None.
Asulians will only work in a union shop.

RESPECT is earned and is NOT an entitlement. Have Latinos graduate in numbers from Stanford and they do can work in hi tech.

If Asians, Jews and Indians can, why not the Latinos?

Sure, go to night school while mowing lawns during the day. Supercilious much?

Gee, maybe Google hires the most qualified without regard to skin color.

Well, obviously Lalo is on the attack against Google, which has a workforce – it’s only fair to assume that he is doing as much to provide jobs in the same way.
After all, Lalo is a well-to-do successful American, and as a liberal, his philosophy includes sharing the wealth.
Otherwise, it would be “do as I say, not as I do” hypocrisy.

I have done seminars at two of the three universities in our city. In twenty-four years I have yet to meet a computer science or graphic arts major that was Latino.
Quick calls to the registrar of both schools gave me two facts: less than 2% of the applicants to either school are Latino; and, less than 15% of the Latino applicants meet the minimum academic criteria for enrollment.

Lalo now adds fuel to the fire in terms of backlash against Asians. We are one of the smallest minorities (numerically) in the USA but he finds it acceptable to exclude us from ‘diversity’ standards.

Lalo = bigot + entitled. Goggle and hi-tech companies hire qualified individuals no matter what their ethnicity. Get a clue, if your qualified your hired. Don’t try to say a business is racist because no qualified individuals of YOUR ethnic group didn’t apply!

That sounds like the kind of principle a colorblind society could be built on.
