OH NO, Not WalMart again….. I’m surprised the employees can get gasoline, and bus fare to get to work in your stores. It’s a shame.

Latest plan from the children of Sam Walton (5 of the 10 richest people in the country — true — by dint of their hard work, long hours, and imagination, natch) is to set up company towns out back of each store and require their “associates” to live there and pay rent at low, low, low prices (except, expressed in Chinese, “low” translates as “ha”).

“Working Poor” should be an oxymoron.

Yeah, that always amuses me when grocery stores have food drives for the poor. “Oh, look, we have bags of food prepackaged for your convenience.” And for their profit.

Good series line, something that makes sense.

And the same, tired, fictitious war on Christmas from the right wing. Speaking of Christmas, I do hope that Mr. Alcaraz can tell me where I can buy a Che Guevara tee-shirt. I’d love to have one.

It’s a job. Good pay or not, be grateful, stop complaining. Nobody’s forcing anybody. Just take it or leave it!

look… “unfair” is a word i would use when discussing real labor issues like the treatment of migrant workers. They are litterally enslaved to their employers. Walmart employees can walk away anytime they want.

Usually Wal Mart is the only place in the area to work after all the smaller businesses have been run out by that same Walmart.

I see you would prefer the ending of 40 hour weeks, medical coverage, rights for the workers. Just return to slaver where all those didn’t exist. That is what you are asking for.
