That’s like saying 4 July is all about hot dogs, hamburgers and fireworks.

Looked this up, on Wikipedia, so it wasn’t exactly deep research:

The French army at the time was on a roll… no losses for many years. The Mexicans were outnumbered and not well supplied. The victory was significant and had an impact on the American Civil war as the French were supportive of the Confederacy.

Just imagine if the Mexican patriots had lost to the French? Now imagine the CSA and French Mexico signing a mutual aid accord during the American war between the States? Now think of various nightmare scenarios of the Civil War being lost by the Union, Stalemated, drawn out to 10 years or more. See where though this wasn’t the end of the French-Mexican war it was a significant win for the Mexican side at that time.

They never mention the second battle of Puebla, France ended up capturing Mexico City. But the French and the conservatives, Mexico’s traitors who supported the French army and their phony Austrian Emperor, were defeated using only guerrilla warfare tactics.
