NCIS’s Ziva is from Chile her real name is Cote de Pablo and is one of the most beautiful women on TV, then there is the ultra hot Jessica Alba and Lexa Doig who is half Filipino, but still should count as Latina… thats just the women that I can think of in just a few seconds

“Alba” means “white”. I always wondered if that was someone’s idea of a joke, like all the slave owners who named their livestock “White”.

@Richard S. Russell
In what language does “alba” mean ‘white?"
The Spanish I speak understands ’alba’ to mean ‘dawn’ — and it is one of the oddities in Spanish in that the article of the word is opposite gender to the noun. It is ‘el alba’

If you were a good actor I’d watch you. Telling me I need to watch you because of your skin color is racist.

albo/alba means white but it’s most commonly used in poetry.

@cipacii77 perhaps in Latin alba means white but in Spanish the word is blanco.

Alba in Latin means white. One of the names of the UK is Albion. Albinism is familiar? To albifi is to whiten.

Tell me do you base your watching options on someone’s name color. Brown, black, white, green, wiess, blanco etc?

Maybe there aren’t as many Latinos in TV as there could be, but there are many more than one. Edward James Olmos had two big series, Nestor Carbonell was gorgeious in “Lost” and if I watched more network TV I’m sure I would be familiar with more. Latinos often don’t play Latino charcters. In LA, every news station has Latinos, and on KTLA a high percentage of the reporters are Latino.
