True, Cubans are among the most conservative latinos – though they would be okay with anyone who hates Castro. Doesn’t alter the fact that blacks and many latinos in Florida are regularly denied their right as US citizens to vote.

Or in the case involving the Black Panthers in Philly, you’re white.
Ray Dickerson said, 11 months ago
Perhaps they just want citizens to vote.

Who exactly has been denied the right to vote specifically?

“Using information from Florida’s Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, the state identified more than 100,000 names of non-eligible voters that could potentially be on the lists illegally.
The Justice Department contends the Florida program improperly uses the information collected from old driver’s license applications, saying the data could be outdated.
“A number of persons will subsequently have become citizens and lawfully registered to vote,” the department said in a letter Monday.
Critics say the plan unfairly targets minorities and paint it as an attempt to dissuade typically Democratic voters from going to the polls." – CNN
a state that went to Bush in ‘00 by the scantiest of margins , is requiring hundreds of minority and older poor people to jump through hoops and take extra steps and trips to the the voter registration office to prove that they are indeed eligible to vote is counting on those probable democrat voters to just stay away from the polls .

If you engineered the most gigantic Medicare fraud in history, you really shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

Florida is ground zero for medicare fraud.
aircraft-engineer said, 11 months ago
WHO EXACTLY? Well, just about anyone with a “latin” sounding name in what is otherwise a characteristically a reichwing voting area. SUPPOSEDLY, it was to reduce vote fraud – what was found was an off-the-top 98.4 percent ERROR RATE (the NAME doesn’t determine CITIZENSHIP)

So far, no specifics, just some kind of “ghost” that has a “latin” sounding name. In otherwords, no one has lost their voting rights. I scoured the Florida news, not one name made itself manifest. No one lost their voting rights.
.
So when someone says people are being denied voting rights, what they mean is “no one is being denied voting rights, but we want to find a way to complain”.

@J. Short
You mean the so-called “Black Panthers” don’t you? The one with 5 members.
Well put Nighthawks.

anyone they look down on is considered “fair game” They are almost “HATE everyone” but mainly it’s if you are black and if you are Latino. .
James Maxwell said, 11 months ago
For th most part the cartoon is funney but there are time when the racism is blatant and overpowering. No American citizen
is denyed the opportuntiy to vote but there is a restriction on
how many times you can vote. One person, one vote and you
must be a citzen who has registered before the cut off time.

The uproar is over convicted felons. Most of the convicted felons are non white. That’s just a fact Alcaraz can’t lie away.
