    I would rather have someone I can vote out of office in charge of my health insurance. I can go to a town hall meeting and make a fool out of myself. But if I go to any meeting at the for-profit health insurers or providers, I will be thrown in jail.

    Medicare is a social health care program (which does not provide everything it is supposed to). It is not “government socialism.”

    Many of the old folks yelling and/or screaming at Town Hall Meetings in recent weeks don’t even know what kind of program Medicare and Social Security really are.

    Too true, Joe. When a recent poll showed 62% of Republicans wanted the government to keep its hands off of Medicare, I knew we were seeing the idiocracy in action.
