   Look I”m all for animal rights and I don’t eat meat….blah blah blah….But PeTA is STUPID for making a drama scene over a fly. They only live for like three days anyways! They are annoying and no true benefits come from them….so what’s the bleeep point???? They just wanted media attention. Seriously considering blocking their emails. Ugh. Dirty Hippies.

   “no true benefits come from them” - er, tell that to a species that relies on flies for food! So basically everything must be born ONLY to benefit humans, and if it’s not born for the express purpose of feeding us, entertaining us, or benefiting us somehow, then it’s simply useless and should be destroyed?!! - Wake up people, the world is not here SOLELY for the benefit of humankind!!! Humans are but one species on this planet! Some species actually do exist to benefit other species, even if not humans directly. Jeez, who knew?!! And yes, while Peta might go way over the top with some of its campaigns, do you think maybe that’s simply because they know that shock value (or even perceived sheer stupidity) is the only way that the masses generally take notice these days?!? (…that is IF they even take notice at all.) And unfortunately, most of those that DO notice still manage to miss the point entirely, instead choosing to sling their same-old ignorant crazy/vegan/thug/terrorist-type comments (yawn) and then the issue is forgotten just as quickly and it’s back to the ‘real’ world. Well I say good on Peta for trying to bring some of the world’s dirty little secrets to light, and I’m sure Peta themselves would be among the first to admit that it’s a pretty futile effort anyway, given the closemindedness of the masses these days! People find it so much more convenient NOT to let such things directly affect their vanilla little worlds. It’s a pity that most people won’t spend a little time at least trying to understand the message, as opposed to just constantly shooting the messenger before they even understand what the message is. Just a sign of the times I suppose. sigh
