    I just thought he was beaming a message, “Stop reading and make my dinner…stop reading and make my dinner…”

    Folk tale says that when a dog or cat stares at nothing, they are seeing ghosts. I have read that if you come up behind them and look in the same direction they are staring, from just above the animal’s head, you will too.

    @barticle35

    …i think it’s just that their minds are a million miles away, and they don’t realize they are staring; either that, or they are receiving instructions from the mother ship…

    When a cat or dog sees you reading, they want to horn in to get your attention.

    A friend of mine wrote a book (To Kill an Eidolon
    by W.F. Halsey, http://www.speculationpress.com/ourbooks.htm) about how cats can see and kill invisible beings that cause disease. Very good.
