Fat Freddy’s Cat (from the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers) could say an actual sentence: “Me out?”

In Japan, “nyan” and “nyao” are more common than “trout”.

“Bleert” is another favorite cat word. At least according to Robert A. Heinlein.

When met upon returning home by an advancing cat with its tail vertical and slightly bent at the tip, you may hear the word “Twweee?” This is not, as has been postulated, a greeting. It’s an opinion on your outfit.

My cat Misty only knows the word, “Now!”
Her shelter name was Mystique, and I’ve never met a more-aptly named cat (it’s a mystique or mystery whether she’s in a good mood) except for my Theodore Isadore, who adores everybody.

I had a cat that said, “beer”. But he only thought he wanted one.

In my house, wacka wacka is used frequently, and can be translated as, “here comes another hair ball!”

One of our cats isn’t very social and prefers my step daughters room with the door closed

When she wants out she wants out now! and it sounds like she’s in there saying “Hello! …Hello?”
