   I would find this cartoon difficult as a source of humor, except one of our childhood friends lost a cat to there xmas poinsettias. Cats really are that dumb.

   My old cat wouldn’t have spit them out – all plants were a “salad bar” to her. It is why I never brought any flowers/plants home or if I did I left them on the refrigerator where she couldn’t reach them.

   Agreed…my Himalayan could not lay off the flowers…she would toss her cookies within 5 min. Had to stop with the flowers.

   My cat just ignores the plant since he is allergic to catnip, all plants seem the same.

   Awww! Poor Thing! I’ve had a girl cat and 3 boy cats that have liked catnip, 2 other girl cats and a boy who didn’t!
   
   One my girls, gone now, would eat a couple leaves a day from a fern I was trying to grow. Had 2 fronds coming from 1 stem in the whole pot. I caught her in the act and punished her. She gave me the “You’ll be sorry you did that” look and in the morning, the fern was a 2 inch nub.
