Creator Larry Wright, now retired, served as editorial/op-ed page cartoonist at The Detroit News for 30 years, drawing three editorial cartoons a week. Wright is a past president of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists. He lives in Michigan with his wife, Naoko and cat, Domino.

When our first cat went through the truck engine and lost her tail, she became an indoor cat. She was very happy to be one and remains, to this day, my favourite cat.
