    Whe the children were growing up I had a solid element electric stove. It took forever to heat up and I’d forget what was on it, getting busy with something else for supper. Invariably I’d burn the vegetables. A few years ago my oldest son said he was missing my burnt veggies and quite unintentionally I burned them that night. I apologised.
