Iraq threatens America? Syria threatens America? Viet Nam threatened America?
This is not protecting ourselves, it is bullying.

History: Saddam warred with Russia 10 years.
Saddam warred with Iran almost 10 years.
Saddam used chemical WMD on Iraqi citizens.
Saddam invaded KuWait and planned to go into other Arab lands until the UN Allies stopped him and drove him back into Iraq. The UN set up no fly zones to be patrolled by US and UK planes. Saddam tried to shoot our planes down and threatened the USA.
Saddam tortured his “enemies” in many sites discovered by
the 2003 victors In Iraq, and Mass Graves of Iraqis were discovered.
GW and UK Blair gave Saddam months to comply with UN sanctions to avoid war, but in 2003, after Saddam hid his WMD in Syria by overnite covered truck convoys photo’d by satellite by Israel.
Saddam and his 2 sons, chips off the evil block, lived like kings on the oil revenue that should have belonged to the Iraqi citizens. They were severe oppressors of most of the Iraqis who lived without basic 21st century improvements and access to international satellite communications.
The Liberation was greeted with celebrations by Iraqi people.
Saddam’s was not a “stable government” as we experience stable government.
Saddam financed world terrorism, especially against Israel,
    by rewarding terrorists killing Jews.

Do other countries have the right to take WMDs away from the US if they feel threatened?

An interesting, if flawed, take on “history”
