Has someone said he is not allowed to express his opinion? Or do you think disagreeing with someone you like is the same as inhibiting free speech?

Dr. Carson is a brilliant man who has developed techniques that have saved countless lives of all political, racial, sexual, and cultural persuasions.
He is also very much rooted in his religious foundations.
It would be sad if we were to set aside all of the good he has done in the face of racism and religious discrimination simply because he did what so many of us enjoy doing in GC each day.
    He stated his opinion.
I found some of his comments to be painful to hear. Some of what is written in GC is also painful to read. However, as long as the authors of comments are not calling for killing people, or using vulgarities, or other viciously cruel writings, I won’t flag them.
I’m not going to flag Dr. Carson, and if I have a heart attack near his hospital, I would feel safe under his care. I know that gays and people who have had abortions will also be safe under his care. His love of God may have made him feel a duty to say what he said, but that same love will make him do everything he can to save every life that comes to him.

It’s not racist to call someone out for being a bigot. Regardless of their skin color. As for your “Plantation” analogy, yeah, we all get it. You don’t need to try so hard to make yourself even more offensive than you already are.

    bigot (ˈbɪɡət)

    — n
a person who is intolerant of any ideas other than his or her own, esp on religion, politics, or race

A much misused word in the GC forums.

You might want to see a psychiatrist; one might be able to help you with your paranoia.

You’re delusional. If you think your petty attempts at belittling Cr. Carson will work, you’re in for a surprise.

RWNJ’s continue to prove, let them speak and they undo themselves. Keep up the good work RWNJ’s.

what, exactly, do the Liberal Democrats condemn in Dr. Ben Carson’s “social and political views”???
Whenever I have heard him speak, he is an excellent physician, an excellent Christian and an excellent conservative on political issues that divide Americans.
He is also an independent man, not relying on government Nanny Knows Best intrusions into American’s private lives.
Go! Carson! You are on the side of God’s angels, no matter what Satan’s bunch says!

To equate gay marriage with MAMBLA is beyond the gutter. It is so far underneath the gutter that he would need the hubble telescope just to see the edge of the gutter.
2 consenting adults is way different than a predatory pervert preying on the innocent.
Besides we heterosexuals have completely obliterated the definition of traditional marriage and have made an absolute mockery out of it. The bible (which I’m guessing the source of traditional marriage) doesn’t condone the ready made divorce culture we live in.
BTW, @Becca – “jerk” is putting it very, very mildly.

“He is also very much rooted in his religious foundations.”
No he isn’t. At least not as much as he probably likes to think he is.
The first thing people with this point of view forget is “he who is free from sin, cast the first stone.” If having a active gay relationship is a sin, I hate to point it out to them, but everyone sins. They have no moral high ground.
The issue of marriage in this “debate” is not to force a pastor to marry Bill and Steve, but to be recognized on the federal level and there is nothing wrong with that because if I remember correctly God doesn’t recognize the authority of the United States or any “earthly” government.
Those who feel as Dr. Carson does need to remember that the most important thing a Christian can do is to love their fellow man, not condemn them.
