Oh the lies. There was NO additional expansion of the ban on federal funding for abortion EVER in the bill. And now women are even more limited than they were before.

And yet none of those pro-Lifers want to pay for the babies they say deserve a chance to be born. Life doesn’t end at childbirth.

Jade, that’s our Puritan heritage – No sex unless you’re married and intend to be making more little puritans. And you’d better not enjoy it.

The Roman Catholic Church has historically placed the life and well-being of the fetus over that of the mother. I know this personally because they almost put my mother to death in order for me to be born. The Roman Catholic church has historically hidden the facts of its priests molesting children, then moving those same priests to new parishes.

The so-called Evangelical Christians have aligned themselves with monsters and molesters just because they think they know when life begins, regardless of the health of the mother. When I was young they used to argue about how many angels could sit on the head of a pin.

All MEN should be removed from deciding issues of a woman’s reproductive health. The hypocrisy is just too self-defeating!!!! Until congress and the Supreme Court have more women than men, they should disqualify themselves on the basis of ignorance!!!!!!!

Fortunately, this is of the first things that will be ‘amended’ after this bill becomes law. At least we got a foot in the door…..

    Obama’s ‘Health Care Reform’ doesn’t cover Pro-Lifer’s?

Last night watching C-span I felt I was back in high school, observing the immature antics of boys and girls bicker back and forth during a school policy debate.

Granted, a fancier setting than the auditorium, yet the same angst was wafting about.

Also, it looked to me as if there were souvenir gavels being stowed…who gets ‘em?

“The House will be in order!” What a long, strange trip it’s been.

    Jade,

I know facts are not exactly a liberal strong-suit, so your outburst is understandable.

Call your local pregnancy center. We Pro-lifers are willing to pay 100% of the costs for an at-risk mother to have her baby and adopt it to desperate infertile couples.

Maybe you can peruse some pro-abortion sites and come up with a better argument next time so you don’t look like such a fool.

Zeke, when did you see that advanced level of maturity? Granted, I got disgusted so kept turning away from the feeding frenzy.

that train has already left the station (or at least cleared that crossing), the bill is on it’s way to the White House; HALLELUJAH!

trout, there were a couple of moments when gentlewomen and gentlemen spoke in a civil manner.

Few and far between, yes. Like the very occasional high school moments of pith.

Boehner was most foolish with his HELL NO! diatribe. Then his snide repetition concerning the vote count method…how can thinking conservative voters endorse such counterproductive behavior?

Redeemd, you certainly don’t speak for all anti-abortion rights people.

Also, tell me what you do for the women, after you’ve taken their babies away. Help them finish high school? Send them to college? Teach them about reliable birth control?

    • Oh really? So you mean to say that EVERY pro-Lifer is happy that the Health Care bill passed since it also includes expansions for children on their parents’ plans?
    • I find it interesting that you say “facts” aren’t a liberal strong-suit when it’s arguments from pro-Lifers like “Planned Parenthood shouldn’t receive any funding because special needs children are God’s punishment for the mother aborting her firstborn child” (that IS a quote from our glorious Virginia Legislature, by the way), and that Planned Parenthood is solely an abortion clinic. But please do keep going. THIS I have to see.

The GOP rep who called Stupak a baby killer was so out of line. Stupak is staunchly anti-abortion and held out for his (and others) beliefs in the House version. He won. There is no federal funding of abortion, the Hyde amendment is the law of the land. That GOP rep should be castigated for such an ugly, immature outburst.
