    This cartoon is fundamentally flawed. Because under literal CAPITALISM, government does not get involved in begging people for money in any fashion connected with private business.

    SOCIALISM is where governments and corporations begin feeding off of each other. Which is what we have now.

    Yes, “W“‘s single worst moment as President came at the very tail end of 2008, when he allowed his idiotic, greedy treasury secretary to con him into agreeing to so-called “bailouts.”

    I think “W” was just plain whipped by then. Media-whipped, as opposed to p-whipped. After 8 solid years of being constantly blamed, accused, lied about, demonized, slandered, etc, he just had no spine left to say “no’ to ANYTHING by the end of 2008. I think he would have agreed to bail out the Democrat National Committee by then, if they had gone bankrupt and held their hand out to him.

    Sad, but true. The man had just plain lost his balls by that point, basically.

    Well Obama wants us to be a nation of needs he can full fill. He can re label, Islamic Muslim terrorist bombing, into a man made bad thing. So why not try to rename “Capitalism” which is at it basics I have a product I want to sell to you for a profit” But no lets rename it to “begging in the streets” That is the ticket….

    If you want to have a country, you have to PAY to have a country. The lower classes need to understand their responsibilities in supporting the business elite’s efforts to run the economy as we see fit. We ARE the best qualified to do so.

    I can’t quite put this one together.

    It appears the capitalist has donned an Uncle Sam suit. The hand asking for money has the red star of communism. The hat which bears the true colors (red, blue, white star) is being used as a collection basket. (Using patriotism as an excuse to raise taxes?)

    The family man wears the true colors on his head. He seems to represent the true America patriot.

    When capitalism joins forces with the state it becomes communistic in its approach to the people?

    Or is the red star meaningless and this is simply a comment that corporations are using the state to beg profits from the people.

    Actually, red star on white doesn’t strike me as communist… It would have been gold on red.

    IMO the ‘toon would be much more accurate at the time of the bailouts of the big financial institutions. Now it’s rather, well, unimpressive.
