“The Shark” Rafsanjani is still a formidble critic of current Iranian regime and he is respected above Ahmadinijad. If somehow the Assembly of Experts is able (I agree it may be unlikely) to oust the Ayatollah Khamenei - which it CAN do, then Mousavi and the people would probably feel a surge of hope and regroup.
AND
Now Ahmadinijad wants to meet with Obama, probably to barter over the British Embassy Staff’s impending trial. He’s becoming a boil on the face of Iran - further inflaming his opposition.
And
Russia interestingly opened airspace for the US to reach Afghanistan. What do you make of that in terms of Iran issues.
