There is nothing in that article that implicates Mandela of engaging this kind of behavior. Only that his wife may have endorced it. Since it doesn’t tell us what that was its impossible know it if it was acurate or the product of twisted words.

Quoting bloggers is dangerous if not out right foolish. They are not known of being level headed and tend to sensationalize things to draw in readers.
    .
In this case he makes a big deal about Mandela formally rejecting violence as a tool. The American Government usually takes the same stance.
    .
Why are you hold one man to a higher standard than a Government who choices can affect not just people but whole nations across a large cunk of the world?

You realize the cartoon is about Nelson, not Winnie?

One man’s troll is another man’s foil.

It’s kind of amusing, watching the conservative pundits try to decide if they should be praising Mandela for accommodating whites in 1990, or condemning them in 1960.

One thing I’d keep in mind before comparing MLK to Mandela is that they were operating in very different circumstances.

Absolutely, I should look at it as a ball up on the tee, and as an opportunity more often!

Ken, didn’t you get your daily Rush talking points? Conservatives are supposed to be AGAINST Mandela. I don’t know why, they just are. Look at your comments section.

Mandela is a fine example of a modern hero, especially given the horrible situation he was in. All the conservative lies and distortion (maybe they’re sore because they were on the wrong side of history AGAIN) can’t change the truth.

But, credit where it’s due, good on Ken Catalino for bucking the trend of conservative jerkishness on the subject of Nelson Mandela.
