Politics aside, I do believe we would all like to see everyone get all the health care they need. The fact that this effort at making that a reality is receiving increasing amounts of bad comment from all sides means that this is a most abysmal attempt. It scares me silly to think about what is being dismantled and what that will mean.

No need to look for product in the well-washed opposition. Granted, the bill was flawed, but the very people opposing it in Congress are the ones who wrote IN those “flaws”.

That includes the fact that “government by contractor’” has proven flawed, repeatedly, but IS the way “conservatives” have demanded it “function” for some time now.

lets put aside the unconstitutional fact that the federal government is forcing the people of this country to buy something whether the need it or not, the whole thing is a scam from the git go. nobody in this country whether here legally or not was ever refused care when they went to an E.R. where this problem started is with insurance companies forcing the costs of medicine through the roof. doctors spend lots of time and money just doing paperwork for the insurance. if people had no insurance except for catastrophic care, and paid their office visits out of pocket. the price would be cut down below half. even today if you go to a doctor and tell him your paying in cash he will give you a break on the costs down to a third of what he would charge through insurance. if people had a health savings account and put their insurance payment in there instead, then they could go to the doctor of their choice and pay up front. do the math. if your paying 1,000. a month for insurance, and you have a 500 dollar deductible, that’s 12,500 a year. that would more than cover regular visits to the doc.. if the hospital doesn’t have to cover the payroll and retirement for all the people who handle the insurance claims, they can reduce their cost of treatment and still cover indigent people who show up at the ers. now if your work doesn’t have to pay half of your insurance cost, you could work to have some of that money in higher wages, and your company could afford to hire more people.

Clearly you missed the part about the Democrats compromising with republicans to allow the flaws into ACA in order to pass some sort of improvement to the old system.
