Who did not see this type of spin coming? On 9 11 12 In Egypt and elsewhere they were in the street chanting “Obama we are Osama” Down the way the 1st Ambassador since Carter was being murdered and dragged through the streets. it was an election year so Obama just went to bed to get his sleep to go on the talk shows. He had people for this. The people came up with the talking point lies of “Spontaneous and YouTube” “But what difference does it make now” He got re elected.
One wonders what is going to happen over there where according to the Obama spin “man made bad things that happen over seas” this coming 9 11 13?

It’s OK with you clown’s for Assad to gas any one he chooses. It’s fine for America to lose face around the world. It is not just this administration that has allowed this atrocity grow to a world problem. Any reasonable human that has seen the news reports of the dead and dieing children in Syria knows we have to act. The right will oppose any act out of Washington that is supported by the President. It has nothing to do with right or wrong only that Pres.Obama must be berated.

Harley; I suggest you pick up “Under Fire; the Untold Story of the Attack in Benghazi” Burton and Katz. Even the introduction is enough to blow away all your BS on that incident, and it was known, and ignored, by folks from the beginning, but fantasies have long overridden andy facts for the “conservative argument”. The mission was NOT a well-secured embassy, like many others around the world, and there was no way to have provided the response idiots on the right think was possible under the circumstances. As just one example there was NO armed C-130, or armed drone, anywhere near close enough to have responded to the attack, period. Read the book, and stop propagating the bull.

That would be a nice job for Seal Team Six… Get in, grab Assad’s sorry arse and haul it of to The Hague. A bit like in the movie “Airforce One”. Why not. If it saves lives. And these guys, they know that death comes before glory…

Let me ask you this. When did you believe it was “spontaneous” When did you believe it was because of a YouTube video? And Just who gave the stand down orders? Does your book answer those question? Can you prove this propaganda?

My issue with sending in some drones or cruise missiles is that there doesn’t seem to be “good guys” on either side of the Syrian conflict. What if Assad’s gov’t falls? The rebels are a mix of various factions, some of which aren’t even Syrian (mercenaries sent there by the Saudis and Qatar). We are not going to see the masses holding hands and singing Kumbaya. The unrest that follows may make Egypt look relatively calm. Then what?

I tend to agree, the time to strike was 2 or 3 years ago before Obama let the mess of it happen. Now we have a lose lose. The only way to combat a lose lose is to either A, support humanitarian need to those not fighting. B, bomb the crap out both sides till they give up the WMD Saddam gave them. I should just say ALL sides, there are factions among factions. At one time there was a presents that we could of, might have backed that were not radical Muslims. That is no longer. So just bomb them where they are fighting. Each side wants the other to be dead, so either let them fight it out of help all sides achieve that goal. There is no “winner” here. it is Radical vs more Radical vs who the other guy does not like.
So, to sum up, either A, nothing and support humanitarian needs of the after math. Or B, Bomb them all and let Allah sort them out. No “side” is just in this war so no side should get our “help”

Stratfor thinks Obama painted himself into a corner with his initial ‘red line’ speech, just trying to sound tough. In just a few days, there was a YouTube of a Syrian attack jet shooting a missile, and 3 dead bodies, all killed by nerve gas.

The now defunct said their experts looked, and the missile was NOT a chemical weapon, so it did not kill the three, so a false flag (article, like, now defunct).

The new and improved says it was the first of many times the Syrian government used poison gas, culminating in the massive attack on 21 August that killed many civilians, including many small children.

If one believes the old was telling the truth BEFORE the UK government told them to print the government line or be shut down, all the chemical attacks MIGHT have been false flag attacks. If one goes with what is now the unanimous consensus of the English-language MSM, all the chemical attacks could ONLY have been by the Syrian government, the rebels are unarmed and have no access to any lethal weapons, so the Syrian government has murdered more than 100,000 (most murdered with legal weapons, but the thousands murdered with poison gas provides the legal justification for decapitating the Syrian government), and so must be stopped, and the only nation that can stop them is the US, which is therefore under a moral obligation to remove the Syrian government.

However, there is ample evidence that the Western MSM are liars and that the anti-Syrian government forces have ample supplies of chemical weapons.

Of course, even if it is true that both the Syrian government and the mercenary army trying to topple the Syrian government BOTH have weapons, that does not prove WHO used them.

But the administration is clearly lying, using cheap rhetorical tricks for persuading people to believe a bald-faced lie, tricks that any student of rhetoric knows are clear evidence that the US administration is lying.

Harley: You can go back to my posts right after the attack and note two key things: 1. I never felt it was “spontaneous”, but a rather well planned attack on an American outpost in a very dangerous place, in response to decades of U.S. attacks on Arab/Islamic states, groups, and individuals. 2. I have stated since the beginning that this was an annex, NOT AN EMBASSY, and lacked the security systems and personnel that would have been “available” to an embassy. And well 3. I also maintained from the beginning there were no “stand down orders” per se, because any significant support was NOT available in a timely enough manner, and conflicts with international law, and “host country agreements” prevented some of the irrational claims the “righties” made as options, never existed.

Stevens’ own family came out soon after and said he took the assignment knowing the danger of the location, accepted the risk, and they did NOT blame anyone at State or in the Administration.

All of the above, and more, is explained fully in the book i cite, but as it’s more than a 12 second repetitive sound byte from Rush, and over two paragraphs long, I realize it’s beyond the attention span of you, or any of the others constantly shouting “Benghazi”, with absolutely NO KNOWLEDGE of the FACTS, or any “need to know”, to blow your horns.

This, along with the looney-toons go-round on Syria, is distressing at best, because I not only know people affected by these kinds of actions, but am related to participants, and have taken part myself in similar circumstances in the past. I know this upsets you, and my pet troll “onguard”, but it’s simply the facts: Believe it or not, some folks have actual life experiences to judge from, know people who DO these things, AND are well-read and informed by sound sources, note propagandistic, idiotic web sites(or media blabbermouths), before they make up their minds on current local, regional, and world affairs.

@TheTrustedMechanic Obama let the mess (the conflict/civil war/chemical weapons use in Syria of it happen? Did Obama send Assad an email telling him to start the war? Use the weapons?"

I stated after Obama made his “red line” speech that he has just given both sides a reason to gas the other side or gas their own. It did not take a political genius to figure out that Obama stepped in it and made very bad proclamation. 2 maybe even three years ago Humanitarian and peaceful things could have happened. but Obama was to busy trying to water the “Arab Spring” Of course Obama was using weed killer and it burnt up in his face!
