Threats should be made very sparingly. You may have to follow through on them.

That two week war Bush promised on Afghanistan and Iraq went so well, only 10 or 20 troops lost, and Iraq paid the bills, right??

It’s time for the U.S. to keep our noses, and troops, out of civil wars, on any continent, or region. Even financial aid or weapons should depend on knowing “who’s on first”, which, in Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, west Africa, east Africa, “Muslim” Asia, and even our neighbors to the south we haven’t a stinking CLUE who’s the “good guy”. Right, Pinochet was a good guy, Saddam- for a while, was a “good guy” fighting Iran. If you paid attention to Prescott Bush and Henry Ford, remember, even Hitler started out a “good guy”.

You forgot about Castro, Noriega, Bin Laden, and the Taliban. Each of them were “good guys” to whom the US had supplied aid, weapons, and/or military training. Every single one of them turned on the US. The Syrian rebels will be no different. We already know that some of the rebels are affiliated with the Taliban. We need to just sit this one out. Any other nation on Earth who thinks the US should get involved should involve themselves, pay for it themselves, and deal with the consequences themselves. The US just can’t afford the money, the lives lost, or the resulting ill will.

The red lines do not lead to our homes, let him step all he wants.
    .
His own people will kill him, just like he is killing them.
    .
They are not our dogs, this is not our fight.

Okay, Catalino, we know you want a new war, in a country much more difficult to attack than Iraq was. Now, are you willing to pay for that? Or does it come out of the deficit again? Or out of our own country’s infrastructure?

Aaahhh, if only Bush were still in office…. We would invade and put and end to all this nonsense. We could have a Mission Accomplished in six weeks.
