   The scandals are not limited to the Catholic church. The biggest difference is that others have not tried to cover for the offenders. (The Boy Scouts have though.)

    I am not a liberal, but I know that liberals do not HATE catholics. I know a lot of liberal catholics.
    
    The issue is with the catholic church, who even you must admit, if were not HIDING behind the shield of religion, would be considered a criminal organization for its BEHAVIOUR.
    
    if they BEHAVED with out the criminal intent, perhaps people, both liberal and conservative, would NOT have a problem with the CHURCH.
    
    yours is the basis for the same kind of notion that an OUT gay man, or an individual woman who is outspoken about birth control, is somehow anti-Catholic.
