Jon Stewart reported that the fine for possessing Pot would be $100. That’s kind of a tax, right? Oh, and by the way, the fine for selling soda in containers bigger than 16 oz. is $200. Hilarious!

Does legalizing pot make it OK to leave your kid on top of the car when smoking it?

The rest of the world looks at NYC and thinks they represent the rest of America. No wonder they are always the first target for terrorist strikes.

I wish that stop using the slang term ‘marijuana’ especially in writing legislation, It’s CANNABIS. If this were about cocaine, they wouldn’t say blow decriminalization.
    Oh,well.

Stewart’s bit was really good, and ON topic! Oregon charges you for a medical marihuana card, but not for OxyContin, opiates or other highly addictive substance prescriptions. Hmm, “taxed” for your medicine.

Ron Wyden is now pushing to get FEDERAL law to clear the growing of commercial hemp, it’s long past time to reverse the idiotic laws passed because of “reefer madness”. Just the fact that millions of board feet wouldn’t need to be cut to provide paper and other products, makes hemp growth the “intelligent way” to go. Sooo, given this Congress, controlled by the right, it won’t happen.

Similar to the Dutch approach. If something cannot be stopped, regulate and tax it.
