    Ken, stay healthy man. You too can be excluded by your very own health insurance! I’m an M.D. and I see or hear of it every week of the year. I’ve even had to write a letter to prevent denial of coverage for insulin for a diabetic patient. They changed their mind. Believe it, the insurance industry gives not one fig for your health!

    What all private health insurance company are saying is that they will pay for your treatment (if they think it is necessary), your medicine (if they feel it is needed), and your hospital stay (if they agree is was required), and will cover you (unless they feel have a pre existing condition) for as long you pay your agreed upon premiums (unless they raise you premium) for long as you want (unless they cancel your coverage which they can do at any time.)

    The Republican “plan” is “if you get sick, die quick”. The health insurance industry has everyone under Medicare age on a short leash. And they really knock senior citizens with the cost and coverage of “supplemental insurance”.

    ANandy, I do hope you don’t get one of the nastier cancers. $5000 is a drop in the bucket for taking care of them. And if your insurer decides it was pre-existing or has some other loophole, believe me, buddy, you’re a dead duck!

    VA and now Medicare are helping me. My mom is on Medicaid at 97 and they’re doing pretty good, with Medicare.

    Yeah, right, get government out of health care- dumb down a tad more- righties.
