Ken Catalino is a conservative cartoonist who is happiest puncturing balloons filled with the lightweight gas of liberal idealism. This doesn’t prevent him from criticizing conservatives on occasion, if reason and rationality are violated

The whole point of the cartoon is that people are losing faith in our financial systems. What can be done to turn the tide?

Isn’t having too much faith on the financial system what got us in our current predicament?

Just aggressively invest in a regular savings account and earn your yearly pennies, no risk involved : )

You’re right, Dredpiraterobts. But at least it’s safe : )

I’m really a low roller financially but personally, not paying any interest at all, paying off balance of credit card each month, and having my money in CD’s (even though interest rates suck) works for me. The little that I have in mutual funds at this time are valueless to me and I’m saving them for the death benefit money for my kids.
