Are they supposed to be, like, the wise men?

Nope, just decent people freely sharing with others.
    Not that that is foolish.

Outstanding! Let’s hope that spirit lasts all year. I volunteer at a local food pantry and it is amazing how generous folks are bt Thanksgiving and Christmas. Equally amazing how we are most forgotten a few months later…

I have a feeling that people living in a box on a snowy sidewalk need a place to live more than a forgotten Christmas gift.

Some folks choose to remain on the streets. Many are afraid of the “rough crowd” in shelters, and others, sadly, suffer from mental conditions that make this seem a “reasonable” choice.

Reagan and the ALCU did everybody a big favor by closing the mental wards, and insurance companies joined the throng by limiting in-patient psych stays to three days.

So What? This is a CARTOON, not real life. Brought tears to my eyes anyway. Why can’t you accept it for what it is? Everything in the world cannot be absolutly correct and sad. We need a little difference to keep from falling down all those slipery slopes people keep putting in our way.

I try to live by this motto.

Give what you can, and only take a little as possible

I always give blood, do the angel tree or any other charity i can possibly do

I’ve never seen “a few random gifts” that were “forgotten about” left under a Christmas tree. Everyone I know of does a good job finding them all.

IMHO, there is a nod to the Christmas story here (cf. babe in the manger), and the intent of the comic is to make us look outward to others who need our help.

The last panel contains symbolism. It’s a given that there are different ways of discerning the meaning. Good Samaritan? Good neighbor? Three kings? Individual worth? Giving rather than receiving?
