Movin’ on up, to the East Side….

Clarence’s hair was apparently similar to that worn by Sherman Helmsley, who played George Jefferson on TV. Since Clarence describes said hairline as “crazy”, he shaved it.

Also RIP Isabel Sanford, who played Louise “Weezy” Jefferson. The chemistry she and Hemsley had on-screen was so natural that it’s sometimes difficult to believe that they weren’t married in real life!

The Jeffersons was a spin-off from All In The Family, Jeffersons also featured an interracial couple, you might know Roxie Roker’s son — Lenny Kravitz. RR almost didn’t get the part because she was told that no one would believe that a beautiful black woman like her would be married to a white guy. She pulled out her wallet and showed them a picture of her and her husband.
