When I was very young, I learned the letters from my blocks. I’d pick up a block and go down to the basement where my mom was doing the laundry, and ask what a picture on the block was. She’d tell me, and I’d go up for the next block. Then I ran out of pictures, and had to ask about the letters and numerals. Didn’t write a book, though.
