Love It.
The Far-Right has taken over the Republican Party and will not let go. They got their chance when 2008 swept the moderate Republicans from office, and their “tea bag parties” this summer, and their destruction of the “town hall” meetings on health care showed them that they had the power and they used it.
They want to take back the White House and Congress and this time “No More Mr. Nice Guy!”

Again, we have to endure all the usual abuse from the moonbats, who all come from the angle that “Far Left is the norm. anyone not far-left is a wingnut whackjob intolerant hatemongering…” blah blah blah, scuse me while I go waste my text somewhere else until someone more intellectually honest replies. (aside from oldle, who at least added an honest one-liner).

But they weren’t nice guys in the first place! Dick Cheney…?

Dick Nixon actually did some good things: Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, NEPA, opening China to diplomatic relations and trade (OUR corporations turned that “job negative” to our economic interests).
GHW Bush signed the ADA- supported by many Republicans.
Reagan’s handlers, like Cheney, Rumsfeld, Perle went on to influence both 41 and especially “W” to a philosophy, based on Milton Friedman, that “nice guys finish last”.
NO, they do not, and THAT is why so many “libs” are fed up with our nation’s duplicity and fraud that came out of those three administrations.
Fiscal conservatism IS good!
Social liberalism is good for people, but maybe doesn’t serve corporate greed. It does still sustain economies based on actual fair trade practices, and legitimate financial interests.

This nostalgia for «old-style» Republicans is misplaced. Ask FDR !…
