Thanks Mr. Sherffius – near hopelessness in one clear-cut visual.
I’m in the middle of Barack Obama’s first book, Dreams from my Father. He was continually being schooled out of his own dreams, turning off into a more clear-eyed direction, then being schooled again. I think he’s still learning, learning that now he’s got to deal with even more powerful S.O.B.s of all stripes and egos, and that some of those S.O.B.s are in his own party. I know that none of them could have taken on the horrific job he’s taken on. Catcalls from the sidelines are all they’re capable of.
Too bad about Corzine. But Obama will prevail. I still have hope.

Obama grew up fighting for a place at the table, he didn’t get a silver spoon at birth, but he did get some hands up along the way.
The hard part is getting cooperation from the hard-core ideologues in both parties who haven’t learned to bend with the changing wind. Many on both sides may indeed need to break in the winds of the next year, for real progress.

I wish he’d do something instead of starting with a compromise position… geez, democrats can’t do anything unless the GOP screws up so bad and does most of the work for them

He’s brought his debate book to a knife fight…
