We have terrorist in the U.S.A., except we call them abortion clinic bombers.

Why is it that they focus on the unborn so heavily and yet those kids that are alive and starving they don’t make an effort to save? I guess it all depends on which side you are…

Stop slandering Christ. All the world’s oldest and largest relief agencies are already Christian. And with 37 million single moms sucking off Welfare in America alone, who’s starving? Every time i see one, theyre usually 30-50 pounds overweight.

I’m sure they eat way better and more often than the genuine working poor, who put in 40 or more hours a week at or near the minimum wage, and have to buy all their own food!

scott: What YOU are saying here about widows and orphans and the poor is the greatest slandering of Christ and his teachings that I have ever read.

Postings like scottfreitas are one of the major reasons people tire of the church.

@ Scottfreitas - well, they didn’t get an abortion when they could, so now you get to slander them for depending on someone else when there is no husband to help them. Nice racket your side has got there - damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

Most single moms I have seen, mind you, WERE genuine working poor. Some were overweight - the low-cost foods tend not to be very healthy.

How many times must Christ die for our sins?

Christ preached love and acceptances, now people are using his name to preach hate and rejection!

You should know more about biology, scott.

When a child is hungry, his body learns to stock up the most calories possible while it can. When there is more foods, the body continues to stack up calories while it can (i.e; body fat).

That’s one of the reasons for the yo-yo effect, every dieter’s nightmare (balieve me, I know).

Typical liberal liar. The Church has numerous programs in place to help the poor and needy. Right in our Harrisburg area there are at least a half a dozen homes for the poor and needy and help for problem pregnancies.

I love the way liberals LIE through their teeth to try to discredit the Church and the concern we have for all life – from the moment of natural conception to the moment of natural death.

Fanatics here should be defined as “anyone who kills or maims another person because of their beliefs” (see Middle East and abortion clinic killings for examples of fanatics.)
Religious people adhere to the tenets of their religion without using violence (ie, peaceful protesting, debating, or passing a law).

    NorthCarolinian:
That would cover one facet of religious fanaticism. A more encompassing definition should include “embracing one’s (religious) identity to a point that blunts any empathy for other persons and distorts one’s world view into the paradigm of a ‘one-on-one’ confrontation with the entire collective of opposing viewpoints, sometimes resulting in the ‘seige mentality’ of a paranoid state of mind and leading to desperate acts not so much to promote one’s viewpoint, but to strike out against the perceived collective foe. The ironic offshoot of this is that the ‘fanatic’ will often neglect, ignore, or shun entirely the teachings of their ‘religion of identity.’”
