John Sherffius has been capturing the issues of the day in pen and ink since his college years at the University of California, Los Angeles. Sherffius has been honored in recent years with national cartooning awards from the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation, the National Press Foundation, the Society of Professional Journalists and the Scripps Howard Foundation. He is the 2008 winner of the Herblock Award. His home paper is the Daily Camera in Boulder, Colo.

If the storm lands, it will be Katrina all over again.
Nothing was done during this years that may lead in correcting the situation.
Too bad for you, Stew, there is no Bush Hurricane Machine. The only machine working as Al Gore predicted is called REALITY, and it hurts when it strikes…

Alexus, you used the R word, without an explanation. The word, REALITY, that should strike terror in the Stew and Mach types, loses any significance, when it is never used by the felon druggist Limburger. I hope to see a copy of their dictionary, some day, after both pages are colored in.

Thanks God that Gustav was not Katrina. Nothing was done to make our Federal Relief agencies more responsive.
Let’s hope no more deadly hurricanes hit us until a real government with clear conscience arrives to Washington…and this excludes MudCain-Palin (who??), of course.
