This undermining and disrespect for the President while engaged in delicate negotiations on the world stage to solve a complex international problem without firing a bullet would have been called traitorous back in 2003 when the President and his people were lying to justify an illegal invasion.

The right hand is drawn on the left side.
    Is that significant ?

Kerry was still out saber rattling this morning. It wouldn’t have hurt him or our position any if he had said something like “We will remove force from the table for now.” instead of continuing with the threat of force.

Sadly all the Obama bashers did not read the morning paper in which President Obama called out Putin for protecting Assad. No, even when he is doing things right, the cringing Republican trolls are yapping at his heels!

    @mikefive

    Good comment, M5.
Today’s cartoon from Mr. Deering is unhelpful as it feeds the flames of divisive politics already scorching these pages.
Sometimes the best way for diplomacy to proceed is for the focus to be transferred. When was the last time anyone read a story about job creation? The only stories being presented to us are the ones causing the most division between neighbors and inciting the most vitriol among commentators.
M5, along with some other writers here, conservative and liberal, have provided actual ideas and provided links with which people can make informed decisions they can use to write their legislators. I often wonder how many of you have written to you politician with civil and respectful opinions on what and why you hold the positions you do.
It is much easier to insult a messenger than to form a message, but I assure you, it is more useful to convey a civil thought.
    Respectfully,
    C.

Please don’t take this the wrong way but, so what precisely does America DO about it? We can’t be everywhere at once. We haven’t extricated from Afghanistan yet. Would you have us threaten Iran over it’s n-reactor? It’s so EASY to level criticism over difficult problems, no one can solve, isn’t it?

When did I mention the 2000 election? Yes, if Gore had won Tennessee he would have won the election. I get it. I’m not obsessed about 2000, I hardly ever think about it. Why are you so obsessed about it?

The President makes concessions to reach agreement with others who disagree – something the GOP purges members for doing (very much like Lenin in that respect).

“…….the reason why she voted Yes to invade Iraq is her INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATION PROVED SADDAM WAS A THREAT TO THE USA!……”
    .
Might just as well get a head start lying about Hillary also. Can’t start soon enough and often enough, you know.

So, to relevance: If the ’toon is correct, then Osama bin Laden had REAGAN in his pocket when he was being given the weapons to fight Russia, and build an organization to attack the U.S. with the financial component of “aid”??

Not near as far a “reach” as right-wing claims that Obama is responsible for every failed program of previous administrations.

Obama, I firmly believe, DOES have the same view as the military: “PEACE is our profession”. Are all those armed men and women, prepared to USE those weapons if necessary, but preferring to use their positions of strength, “faulty” if they use that position to bring peace?

Right now, I would say at least about 60% of Americans are of the opposite opinion. If she decides to run. please do not cry too much when she is elected the next POTUS!!
