    Sigh. Okay, one more time:

    Funny thing, in this town we have something called a ‘Newspaper’ and it provides daily updates on the trial. There is also this new-fangeled ‘internet’ and I can read the same stories there. Now maybe you like to watch that idiot box during dinner and object to not seeing details of a murderer’s trial spread across your 32" big screen TV while you’re munching on your fried possum, but I thank the media for exhibiting a little restraint. Except for Faux News; the splash details of the Arias trial across the screen every day.

    It is a bit bizarre which trials demand more air time. CNN does Arias trial blitzkrieg also. But it’s not as though there is a blackout on Gosnell. It’s like the “War on Christmas”. Say it loud enough and often enough, and some people will believe it.

    To RWNJ’s not covering this story at the top of every hour is the same as not covering it at all. Try Faux News, oh right, they’re not evening doing that.

    When the media engage in meta coverage of the Gosnell
    story, you know something has been lacking. Or there is
    enough concern among media outlets that complaints
    about the nature of the coverage might APPEAR to have merit.
    I think they are capable of being embarrassed, or at
    least of worrying about how their reputations are faring.

    The previous absence of coverage about Gosnell may not be
    due to laziness or ideology. Maybe it is simply those media
    niches trying to give their audiences what they think they want to consume.

    If EVERY conservative outlet is whining about the alleged lack of coverage of the Gosnell trial, that’s coverage in itself, isn’t it? Besides, I see a lot of coverage of the trial, every day, on both print and broadcast outlets of all stripe.

    But, as proven with the stupid dustup about Obama’s birthplace, if you shout it loudly enough, someone will believe it.

    @bueller

    There were terror attacks in Boston while this case was going on. Should we focus on what this murder did or focus on the carnage that that fell on Boston? You’re right. Its all about priorities.

    The Boston coverage has been very well

    done, with an exception early on where

    CNN misreported an arrest – but I think

    somewhere in all that, they still found
    time for updates on Jodi Arias.

    @Ms. Ima

    Clearly you’ve never had the pleasure of
    catching any classic episodes of " Trailer
    Park Boys."
    For Hunter S. Thompson fans, the actor
    who portrays park supervisor Mr. Leahy
    is a joy to watch.

    As with a lot of these Fox/Limbaugh talking points, it’s based first of all on a lie — the story is being covered and has been being covered — and second of all on stupidity.
    .
    I guess conservatives are angry because they want more people to see what a “back alley abortion” is like,so they’ll fight harder to keep abortion safe and legal.
    .
    I don’t know why. But it’s the only explanation that doesn’t make them look like idiots.
