    Again, the full quote continues “…AT THIS POINT”! And it was in response to a question about the TV-appearance of Susan Rice, not about the death of the ambassador and staff-members. Taking things out of context is a sure sign you lost the argument…

    It makes a big difference. Just say NO to hillary. She can say NO to you so easily.

    Could it be she just might want to relax and live a normal life and not become the Michael Jackson or Elvis Presley of politics where you have to meet everyone else’s expectation.

    Democrat vs Republican….
    I have to agree with the cartoon….
    What difference does it make? It is still an oligarchy made up of 2 parties who are greedy, power hungry, and firmly in the pockets of donors.
    Billions will be spent on political attack ads. Americans will be further divided, and money that could have been used to create jobs, new technologies, and reduce waste will be spent to get narrow minded people elected based on promises they have little intention of keeping.
    We must demand better. We must make leaders hear our voices and order them to do their jobs or get out of the way.
    Respectfully,
    C.

    I take it the Teabaggers will now begin taking that phrase out of context and throwing it around…kind of like “you didn’t build that?” The more you keep dumbing it down, the dumber the people become.

    @MortyForTyrant

    reminds me of all the hoopla, fanfare, songs written about ‘you didn’t build that’ in the RNC convention last summer.
    All about a phrase taken out of context

    @MortyForTyrant

    Actually, you have taken it out of context.

    .
    Here’s the full sentence – and the “at this point” part does not change the “what difference does it make” part in any way:

    "With all due respect, the fact is we have four dead Americans. Whether it was because of a protest or because guys outside for a walk one night decided to go kill some Americans. What difference at this point does it make?
    .
    But she contradicted herself because she her VERY NEXT SENTENCE was: It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, senator.”.
    [emphasis mine]
    .
    So… if “what happened didn’t make any difference” why did she say it’s her job to figure out what happened?
    .

    @nighthawks

    No one took “You didn’t build that” out of context.
    The president said what he said, and meant, it, and his handlers went nuts trying to say he said something else, because of the reaction.
    .
    Or maybe you think the president is so inept he can’t say what he means without a teleprompter?

    Morty, Morty, Morty!
    .
    Way off base. Too bad, Old Man. And, we have come to expect more from you.
    .
    Hillary’s quote was in response to a Ron Johnson question along the lines of “Did you make even basic efforts to learn about protests in Benghazi”.
    .
    Hillary’s response, summarized, is “No”.
    .
    Taking things out of context is a sure sign you lost the argument…

    Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the full theme for the 4 day convention in 2016. It will work as well as the “You didn’t build that” theme did for 4 days in 2012.

    What difference does it make? Only life or death for your country.

    The same difference the elections of 2000 made. You had a choice of the continuation of Clinton’s peace, prosperity, and surpluses under Gore or the endless wars, deficits, and pay-offs to Big Business under Bush. Maybe by now, Americans have learned enough to make wiser choices.

    That’s a good observation, and i’d like to
    expand on that if I may.
    The problem with the “What difference does
    it make now” statement is, of course, that
    people who were concerned about all this
    suspected the administration didn’t think it
    made any difference THEN.
    There is a contradiction in Hillary Clinton’s
    remarks, but at the time they were delivered,
    it was all about the performance.And it caught
    the committee off guard. Frankly I thought
    that whole part of her testimony was rather
    glib. Allright -very glib.

    Where were the Rep. pols when Cheney and W lied about WMD’s? All they did was send alot of soldiers to their death or terrible wounds, and sent this countries’ economy into the crapper.There was someone from the IAEA in Iraq for 2 years looking for the WMD’s and found none, but the W team had great info.The republicans fell for that one hook , line and sinker, as well as alot of Dems. I don’t see W or Cheney on the hot seat.
