   Edsel = Oldsmobile sucking on a lemon. They (GM) already shot down the Oldsmobile line, and Pontiac, Saturn will be gone too. Ah, the Chinese are dickering for Hummer- revenge is near?

   Still it a fun cartoon to look at. It could also be used to show the Democrats complete lack of action that has allowed the Republicans to make a come back.

   It is time for the Democrats to use their majority and get some real things done, to show some backbone and stand up to the Republicans, and to stop ignoring their base while trying to win over people who will never vote for them.

   We voted for and want change. It’s time for action.

   Shows Deering’s total lack of mechanical knowledge. The blocks need to go under the frame, not under the wheels. Even with no tires the car would roll off of the blocks. The blocks would then be under the frame and the car would be stuck.

   belong, of course) they wouldn’t be as visible. More to the
   point, the letters that spell out ” JOBS ” wouldn’t be.

   I admit, the car would then be more stable. Unfortunately, the jobs situation still would not be…which was the purpose and topic of the cartoon- aside from giving me an excuse to draw an Edsel.

   I understand that the recovery may be jobless, but what did one expect. The US lost a trillion in wealth. It was made up money, which just evaporated. The only way to create jobs was to switch the tracks of the economy from a finacial one to a production economy for green technology. However the Republicans tried everything in the power to put a stop to that. If taxes on pollution where instituted, then the gov would have money to pay back the debt faster, AND there would be massive incentive for greening up, which would have resulted in MORE JOBS!
   It is not Obama’s fault, he laid out the plan, plain and simple, but the Republicans and greedy Democrats did EVERYTHING in their power to maintain the status qou and whaddayaknow NOTHING CHANGED! Congrats morons, you all just shot yourselves in the foot and then blame the gun for shooting you. MORONS!
