Born in 1956 in Little Rock, Deering has been drawing since his childhood fascination with science fiction and dinosaurs -- subjects he made into comic books. After studying art with Truman Alston, Deering focused on commercial and fine art at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Along the way, he found his strength in interlocking art with comment

We could also request FCC to stop companies from spending more on advertising prescription drugs than what they paid for research? Patients are demanding drugs from doctors. Cigarettes can’t advertise. Cigarettes can kill- ever listen to how many of these “legal” drugs can, or WILL, kill you? Then there’s the ads that are totally fraudulent- but hey it’s a “free market”.
