They didn’t vote against it because they got their “feelings hurt” they voted against it because it was a socialist bill.

94 Democrats voted against it as well. Does this mean that somehow their feelings were hurt as well? What a irresponsible cartoon.

The politicians that voted against it listened to the American people. I respect each and every one of them Democrat or Republican.

Too bad the Senate will probably pass it tomorrow though….

But that’s what Boehner said.(chuckle) He accused Pelosi of ‘Making a partisan comment that poisoned our (caucus)’, and used that as the explanation for why they bailed on the bailout. Of course he was just trying to cover the fact that so many R’s disobeyed orders, jumped ship and refused to vote for a socialist bill. But he did say it.

The Senate passed it 75-24–with extra added tax cuts–yesterday. Bernie Sanders, Last Living Socialist in the Senate, voted against it. Seems to be a form of Corporate Socialism akin to the Corporate Welfare so popular of late, but suppose we truly have the wolf by the ears.

I agree the situation sucks, the bill sucks, Congress sucks. Still more privatization of profits and socialization of the risk. But Boehner really bonered it up with that pissy little comment.

I fenced for a couple of years in college and I never liked bouting with people who weren’t secure enough or honest enough to acknowledge the lesser touches. I thought it was unsportsmanlike and took the fun out of the game.

You are correct in that he didn’t say “she hurt my feelings” but he says that it’s because of Pelosi’s speech, which means they didn’t pass it because, essentially she hurt their feelings.
