Joe Vanilla is your average, ordinary, regular guy -- working in today’s corporate setting, dealing with life’s little hardships and inconveniences and celebrating its achievements. He faces silly office politics, administrivia, confusing technology, iPods, ATMS, facebook, fumbled interpersonal relationships, and other pushes and pulls of contemporary life. Joe is our everyday protagonist. Relevant. Quick witted. Playful. Ironic and timely.

I’d say it’s a very good thing if you can count your blessings on one hand. You’re doing better than a lot of people.

What is it they say…if you have a roof over your head, food on the table, and money in your pocket, and your kids are scavenging dumps for whatever they can use, you are better off than 75% of the people in this world. We have probably wasted more than most people ever own.

If you only need one hand to count your blessings, you either need a new counting method, or at least include that you have a hand to count with.

I just found it funny. And I’m in a tough situation. E.g., gas ran out yesterday and I have health problems, but thankfully I still have my sense of humour. Now that truly is a blessing to count.
