    Most of the plastic containers can be recycled into other things such as plastic shopping carts. The plastic bags can be recycled as well. There are also companies trying to develop a consumer product that allows you recycle your ABS plastic for use in 3D printers.

    My point being that plastic products don’t have to end up in land fills or the ocean. It often does because of apathy and laziness of the end users.

    Frito-Lay developed a compostable plant-based chip bag. They stopped using it in the US because consumers whined it was “noisy”. They still use it in Canada and other countries.

    Other companies have also developed food containers using compostable plant-based plastics.

    As for kitchen storage, what do you think people used to store food before plastic was developed??

    So you purposely do the opposite of what someone tells you because no one can tell you what to do? In that case, I demand you use tax loopholes to avoid paying taxes. I also demand that you not give all your wealth to charities devoted to helping African children. Do not defy me!
