    What’s your point, Joel? That you’re jealous?

    Peter Sagal: What’s the big deal that one woman had a baby?

    Paula Poundstone: You try it, Peter.

    A lot of Americans seem to think that this is fascinating because we have no kings. Of course, what a lot of ignorant American royal-watchers do not realize is that, since sovereignty is invested in the people in the US, that ALL Americans are equivalent to royalty.

    It isn’t how high you can stack people that should concern you. You must feed them as well.

    Here is a simplistic look at the root of that problem.

    “If only our conservatives would accept “all people” .”
    .
    They are as likely to do that as the liberals are to be honest and stop trying to scare people

    Most people think the royal baby will be spoiled, but hey – they all smell that way.

    And each and every one of them is more important and far more relevant than the ‘royal baby.’

    Doesn’t anyone think about over-crowding?

    @echoraven

    Excuse me? Any actual meaning behind that statement or just irrational, knee-jerk hatred?

    Uh, Petts, that’s the point: He is special & important because he is royal. Much more important than the non-royal babies. He will live in a castle & go down in the history books as a king. He is a major part of history. The non-royal kids are not individually as significant, except to their own family & friends.

    It works until you figure in logistics. Food, water, place to live, sewer etc. So how is it living in Antarctica> Mojave Desert? Too many people not enough resources.
    -
    Just try dividing up the resources equally among over 7 billion instead of the 3 billion who take most of it. Then you will know just how bad things really are. Teetering on the edge of destruction.

    Five earths for all 7 billion to live the way the 3 billion use resources. Unsustainable.
