What if someone had stopped his Mother from getting such a nasty gun system? Whoever let your USA anti-assualt rifle legislation to slip is responsible.

I still think about the trained armed guard (good guy) who confronts the (bad) guy who is wearing body armor and is armed with overwhelming firepower.

We protect our money with guns, but protect our children with wishful thinking. Do you think our priorities may be a bit messed up?

Actually, the legislation was a joke. Rather than banning actual firearms, it merely banned certain cosmetic features (like folding stocks) and magazines over a certain size. It took most gun manufacturers less than a year to figure out how to work around it, making the law more of a symbol than anything actually effective.

Such a shooting still could have taken place when the law was active.

“Trained armed guards protecting us from bad guys.” Isn’t that called “the Police.” I’m all for only Police having military-style guns.

No, no, we need more laws added to the thousands we already have. Shut the barn door after the animals have fled.

And why did his mom find it necessary to stock up on weapons in the first place?

Yeah, we wouldn’t want to hold the perpetrator responsible.

It is not the duty of police to protect you against a criminal with a gun, even if they know who that criminal is and that he has threatened you.
Their duty is to investigate and make an arrest if a suspect is located.
It is your duty to be able to protect yourself.

It’s not the number of weapons she had, it’s the fact that she did not have them locked and out of her child’s reach.

Good point…but why did she feel the need to have them in the first place?

We TAX all those other things but do we tax guns?

Society protects itself from autos by requiring those who drive have a “Drivers License”.
LBJ called for a gun owner license in 1968, sounds like a good idea for todays society.
But howzit your rants are getting a bit strained of late maybe you and the bus kids need to join Danziger’s psychos’?
These things happen when your stuck circling the faux noise black hole for too long!

In Phoenix last summer a 14-year-old boy was babysitting his 3 younger siblings, ages 8, 10 and 12, when a woman rang the doorbell. He wouldn’t open the door because he didn’t recognize her.

When she started banging on the door the boy took the kids upstairs and grabbed his father’s handgun.

An armed man broke into the house through the front door and pointed a gun at him. He shot and wounded the intruder.

Seriously? If someone sticks a gun in my face, the police can’t do anything to stop him, they just have to stand by and watch?

    Uh-huh….
