Mitt followed Rule 2 perfectly with the zinger about his five sons. Well done, Mitt!

And Mitt was telling the truth when he called Obama a liar. Mitt has shaken his etch-a-sketch, so his consistent, persistent policy statements form what mathematicians call the Null Set, and, under the rules of logic, every statement about the existence of objects in the Null Set is false, and hence a lie.

And Mitt was telling the truth when he called Obama a liar.

Romney had made his own falsehoods. The reality is they both lied.

The comment about his five boys WAS telling. They all lie to him. Great kids, great parenting; good revelation, Mitt.

The format of the debates makes it very unlikely that either side will say much that’s more than a sound bite. There’s not much room in public discourse for a sustained argument with detailed consideration of counter-positions.

That was deep, man, I feel like I’m back in
the 70’s, man, on shrooms, you know, man,
and you just blew my mind, man. Slight
problem: I was only eight back then :-)

But never mind, the thing with the null-set is
a good way to look at it. If you take everything
Romney has said and turn it into vectors you
will end up (after a wild, wild ride) at where
you started. Statistically the standard variation
of Mitts statements approaches infinity. Hey,
this is fun, especially since the righties will
never know what we are talking about!

“Obama can’t put on half the vaudeville show that Romney can so he doesn’t stand a chance with the American people”.

Ok why is that? The dog and pony show I have seen for the past four years was impressive.

“The far “right” corporate owned conservative media will lie like hell to placate their masters. A large part of the middle class can no longer afford cable or satellite TV (there goes faux noise) and an increasing number of middle class can no longer afford electricity to power the TV set. Besides, if they are working 2 or 3 part time temporary low or no wage “jobs” they don’t have time to watch TV or listen to radio. Or read newspapers which they can no longer afford either”.

Ok some truth there, but after four years why should these same people vote for the guy who “buried” them so says Joe Biden.

I am concerned about the increasing number of Americans without electricity mentioned.

Somehow this puts the entire post into doubt, if speaking truth does not help then lies kinda make you look stupid.

Yeah somebody tell Mittens, that in the next debate, when he puts the Potato in his magic underwear, that the potato goes in front, not in back.

    Obama admits Romney won

Yes. I agree. Romney won. Now define
“winning”. Got that? Good! Now define
    “winning due to lying”…

I was just rereading the Lincoln/Douglas debates for comparison. It’s an instructive comparison. They were pretty hard hitting, but they both spoke at length and made serious comments about policy and the reasons for their positions. Lincoln is pretty funny at times.

A typo? shouldn’t it be “VERY PRESIDENTIAL” instead?

I don’t know about this panel, too much copy for little pay-off at the end…YMMV

If Romney can’t pick a position and stick with it, why bother voting for him? Wasn’t the Shrub that way too?

Wow, you are the worst voice for the collective mind here. I mean, one minute you’re telling us that we’re headed for the promised land (that only socialism can give us), and the next you’re telling us that conditions in America are Third World-like. Which is it? Is a bright new dawning coming in America, or are we all doomed to the same ruinous conditions that are experienced by people in Detroit (the bluest of blue spots in America)?
