   If the NAACP has outlived its usefulness, then it will stop getting members. That will happen when racism is no longer a factor in American society. It’s clear from many postings here that racism is not over, and so the job of the NAACP is not done. It’s not up to those outside the organization to tell it that it’s no longer useful. Hey, the Catholic Church has outlived its usefulness, Eddie — what do you say?

   Would you rather be paying for their welfare checks? Starting about 16 years after the Roe vs. Wade decision, crime in the US DROPPED substantially, mainly because you’re not bringing more and more children into a severely impoverished environment.

   Actually, as a Liberal and an African American, I have no problem with Condeleeza Rice. I don’t agree with her politically, but I think she’s an ethical person.

   Clarence Thomas on the other hand is not only unethical (lying about sexual harassment, refusing to file tax returns that reflect his wife’s income) but he’s also someone who is so full of self-hatred that he is unable to see people living in the poverty that Affirmative Action helped him escape.

   So long as you think there’s a use for the Catholic Church, I have no problem. So long as the members of the NAACP think there’s a need for the organization, I have no problem. Who are you to tell them their organization has no use?

    As national security advisor, Rice had specific information indicating that an attack was coming, and failed to act on it. She’s a proven incompetent who’s gotten where she has only because of her ability to suck up to wealthy and powerful interests.
