Thank you very much Jimmy Carter. The Idiot who started this mess. At least Ronald Reagan had the morals to show a very big stick and not be afraid to use it as required. We seen how fast he got the hostages out. The only thing those Muslims understand is brute force in massive quantities. I am convinced most of them actually enjoy a good self inflicted death. Otherwise why would so many of them be willing to blow themselves up? They have been doing this since history was started. They always will be doing this. Israel has nothing to do with it. If Israel didn’t exist, they would find something new to destroy or else destroy each other, which they have done in the past. Trouble is, socialists are too stupid to read actual history. Instead they have to rewrite it in order to make it agree with socialism.
I think Obama should require congress to explicitly give him permission to send troops to Syria, and also levy the taxes to pay for it, based on the cost of our previous war (Iraq, which all experts say was a much more straight-forward task than Syria will be, and cost over one trillion). Then see if the Republicans still want to get involved in this civil war, or if putting skin in the game makes them run away again.
like it or not , this country is in for the long run. These problems started with the Korean, VietNam, and Iraqi incursions. This world is headed for some really bad s—t. I’m glad I’m not young anymore.
Whaaaaaat? Jimmy Carter? Huh? And Reagan had MORALS? Correction: Reagan traded ARMS to our enemies in order to BUY back our hostages, and made promises to undermine HIS president, Jimmy Carter. Read up on Iran-Contra sometime. By the way, the Muslims would probably say that the US only understands brute force in massive quantities, judging by our recent history. And what do socialists have to do with it? (By the way, Israel is socialist.)
And if we’re really going to blame the beginning of this on a past leader… . Dang that King Richard the Lionhearted! French speaking he was his own queen! Him and his dagnabbid Crusades! That’s when all of this stuff got roiled (Royally efed up)! . We are the world’s policemen. What we need to do is to start charging for our services! . BTW, the French are willing to be the world’s policemen. And if they do start to be, then all of the right whiners will be all “Ooh! Not Fair! Obama lets France take over the world!”
