Please tell me we aren’t going to have another round of GW the war criminal and all the Bush hater rhetoric. Haven’t we heard it enough? Don’t we have enough current problems to leave the past in the past?
1) Please explain where you find the war criminal theme? I only see an egocentric leitmotif.
2) Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it. (As a friend with Alzheimer’s once told me, that’s a good thing, since you can enjoy the same jokes over and over and over and …)
Nice story, but before the “conservatives” eviscerate you, can you please provide some provenance for this letter? Where was it published? Who is the author? Every issue alleged is true to some extent, but just to take words on the screen as gospel that some dying vet wrote it is beyond credible. You know the rules set forth by the members here, unless you are presenting personal opinion or repeating facts widely reported you must provide substantiation. Please do before you give the RWNJs focus for their trolls.
Given the fact that the costs of W’s personal pet project, the Iraq Invasion/War/Conflict are still with us and the legacy costs are increasing everyday, this is hardly the past. The LIE! regarding the WMDs may be in the past, but the trillions in fortune and the thousands in lives that LIE! cost is still very much in the present. And every time the republicans scream about the debt and deficit, they only bring it more to the forefront, because the two wars that their president imposed on the world, one legitimate and one for personal pleasure/gain, were never paid for, they were added, only after the fact (his presidency), to the debt. So not only did their president almost double the debt during his term, another $3 trillion in costs associated to the war and the wartime president’s policies has been added since he left office combined those two amount to almost half the entire debt of this nation. I have provided these figures before so I won’t go into it again, but the GWB hater rhetoric is well founded in FACT and that FACT is ever present everyday. So unfortunately the past can’t be left in the past. The republicans inadvertently make it the present, every time they whine about the debt that they are overwhelmingly responsible for increasing.

Perhaps someone like Matt Damon, Richard Gere, or someone of equal fame and political activism could then read it and allow the video to go viral. Whoever does so, of course, will be the next target of O’Reilly and Fox News, so it might as well be someone they already hate.
