TV WX person said high temp in Norfolk yesterday wsa 70° but that record was 75° in 1978 ! Both sides, try to explain that away.

Look at historical temperature data for any location. You will see daily highs over a range of 20°F or more. Comparing the high on any given date to the average high or record high is meaningless. Comparing ten year average highs or lows for a given date is more useful.

And then there is the 1500 year rise in the temperature of Alaska permafrost.
    .
It is not getting warmer faster, it is just that the melting point of water has been reached.
    .
Over 1000’ feet deep where the shallow sea used to float and it is now turning liquid.
    .
The villages do not care who’s fault it is.

^ Ah, we are so fortunate to have the one man in all the world who thinks of looking at the Big Picture, an idea that none of the tens of thousands of scientists studying the issue has ever thought to consider. From your post, you obviously know more about science than the scientists do.

I hope you will continue writing to educate us. I mean, SOMEONE has to stand up to all the experts

LOL I love how all these commentators, WHO ARE NOT SCIENTISTS, always try to explain away the evidence that ACTUAL climatologists give us. 90% of the world’s climatologists agree global warming is happening and is being worsened by human influence. I think I will believe them, not Fox News or a bunch of republicans getting paid by the Koch brothers…

The thing with Global Warming (or Climate Change if you prefer) is that it’s already to late to do something about it. Even if we were to all honor the Kyoto accord right now the primary effects set in motion will lead to larger secondary effects (Greenland melting → reduced albedo, Russian permafrost melting → huge methane injection and so on) which in turn will lead to a terrible environment.

    -

Humanity will survive, for sure, but it will not be pleasant. If you have children and grandchildren make sure to die early, before the worst effects set in, otherwise they might keep you alive, just to make sure you suffer alongside them…

Warm water, even in oceans, is lighter, and expands, raising sea levels. ALL the sciences HAVE been working together to make models, and predictions, and the models have had some variation, as expected. It is only the deniers I’ve ever seen pick “single issue” or single points, and try to distort the facts.

Climate change is very real, and more data is collected proving it, every day, all around the world. “Micro-climates” WILL react seemingly, but not really, independently. Adding more fuel for the moron brigade that can’t “put it all together”.

I’ve heard other people talk about that expanding earth idea. When the earth was smaller there was one continent, as the earth expanded the continents broke apart.

Oh MY GOD!!!!! Would you liberal ‘believers’ rather we were in a super cold snap where people are freezing to death and it doesn’t get warm enough to grow crops? A warm trend is welcome. Maybe you would be happy if the North American continent was covered with 300 feet of glaciers????

LOL! A warm and mild winter is one I love. If I wanted to live in brain-damaging cold I would move to Canada.
