Every name that appears on one of those petitions should also appear on the prisoner count at a federal prison. It was treason in 1860 and it is treason now. I doubt that very many people were foolish enough to sign their real names.
These secession-thoughts come up every time the GOP is not in full and complete control of House, Senate, Presidency and SCOTUS. It’s pathetic! And the hight of hypocrisy by the U.S. is to then call the European Union a “failure” because some idiots explored the possible impacts of Greece leaving the Eurozone (which, I might add, is impossible because there are no rules for that). But it’s all the fault of the Democrats, right, GOP? Yeah, right!
Saw the figures yesterday that the Tax-us petition was signed by a whopping .04% of the population of the state! Hey, down there, that must be a “Mandate”!
I don’t think so. I think the SAME brats would have been very poor winners — like Romney planning to launch fireworks over Boston had he won the election.
PLEASE secede! I live in NYC and we pump so much federal tax money into Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Alaska, etc. . PLEASE go run your Whitemanistan paradise without our elite attitudes and high tax base.
You mean like the teamwork of those in Congress whose ONLY job before the election was to deny President Obama a second term, regardless of just what it might do the the US???
And people like the boner, who say they want to work with the administration on the budget crisis, but start off by stating “NO ENDINGTHETAXCUTS ON THERICH! PERIOD!!!” Yup, that’s true “teamwork”! Republican definition of “Teamwork” STILL seems to be “Do it the way WE want, or NOTHING gets done!”
