Because they were not involved. This all took place under Holder and Obama with Obama’s approval.

Fast and Furious started in November of 2009.

    @Rockngolfer

Bush people would only be able to testify about Wide Receiver.

Dude, maybe you should read this:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executive_privilege

It started with Thomas Jefferson imitating the British King. Jackson used it, So did Truman and Nixon. and after Nixon Clinton did during Intern Gate. I’m sure you remember Bush’s use of it.

And in every case it was used to cover up something BAD about the president’s actions.

So just what IS Obama hiding?

Obama may or may not be trying to hide something, but it definitely has the appearance of his trying to cover his AG’s butt.

What’cha think Mike? Obama did say he was pursuing the anti gun agenda “under the radar” and if the allegation that the drug cartels were obtaining all their arms and munitions from mom and pop gun stores along the border (wait…I have to catch my breath on that one it’s so ludicrous) were true and provable then would they manufacture the proof so that they could advance their agenda?

It’s just my opinion but I think that a politician – any politician – would stoop to any means to get his agenda passed.

And another question Mike. When you see the start of riots and rebellion in the news in places in Europe or in Libya or Syria, what is it that the rebels DO NOT have an abundance of? That’s right, weapons. You see them throwing rocks and bottles or rubbish they find to hand and the government always has plenty of weapons.

    Not so in the USA.

Getting guns out of the hands of the population is the first step in controlling that population.

They’re just the WMDs Bush promised us existed! Saddam shipped them to Mexico!

ATF was using confidential informants (AKA gun store owners) to sell guns to straw buyers they knew were cartel members. Supposedly, ATF tracked the guns to the border and informed the Mexican police that they were coming. Our government says that the Mexican police didn’t track the weapons. The Mexican government is saying we didn’t inform them of how it was supposed to work. It sounds like everyone is denying their responsibility for when it went FUBAR. On Wide Receiver, that is a possibility, but someone in supervision should have been hung out to dry for their poor planning.
On Fast and Furious, they knew how it got screwed up the first time and should have learned how to do it right the second time (learn from your mistakes?), but they evidently didn’t. Both Bush’s and Obama’s Attorneys General had to know about the operations because of the sizes of those operations. Politically, one side will accuse the other of their screwup. You might (emphasis on might)be able to excuse the first operation, but not the second. Not after you know how the first one was screwed up. Good grief! I can sure get windy!

If memory serves, didn’t Adolf Hitler require all guns to be registered, and after they were, weren’t they confiscated? He obviously had control of the populace.

“If memory serves, didn’t Adolf Hitler require all guns to be registered, and after they were, weren’t they confiscated?”

Yes, a great way to make a rational argument is to invoke hitler. Maybe if I were to invoke a quote from mein kampf “I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator” as proof that we shouldn’t elect christians. Sound good?

I have no idea what your problem is. Why you are being so belligerent is beyond rational. You need to quit reading stuff between the lines when there is nothing there to read. There is no argument in my post. It is a question from history that I read too many years ago to remember clearly. I was hoping that maybe Bruce4761 or MontyforTyrant could answer my question.
