Well, the main reason I won’t go see a movie in a theater is why should I spend $10-12 to go to the theater, burning gas to get there, and be subjected to high snack prices, screaming kids, dirty floors, uncomfortable seats, and the rest, when I can wait 3 months and buy the DVD for $20, and get ALL the added features, and get to see the movie in the comfort of my recliner, or even lying in bed?
The only reason I went to see “Avatar”, the last time I went to a theater, by the way, was to see it in 70MM, IMAX 3D.

Scarier is the connection of Disney to government resource agencies, trying to make access to public lands and national parks more expensive than going to THEIR parks!!

This IS a joke. It is well know within the industry that Disney prices admission to its parks in order to limit attendance. In other words, the price is intended to provide XXXXX number of customers per day and no more.

    And it doesn’t always work.
Especially on holidays when they start refusing entry around noon because they’re full.

The invisible hand of the free market in action… BTW: at some point HMO’s will no longer be able to raise premiums without customer mass-exodus. THAT’S when we will see action on obesity, smoking and so on. Big Health against Big Tobacco and Big Burgers… I can’t wait…

You can always make it a law to put a poster of scary bulldog-faced Empress Caboose on every refrigerator.

What does Sarah Palin have to do with any of this?

#2? The average piece of clothing at Disney costs more than my first car did.
